Three ways to move the number.
Give, show up, or open a door. Each one is worth more than the next one isn't.
Every gift is tax-deductible.
Donations are processed securely via PayPal. A receipt arrives in your inbox within minutes. We're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit; your gift is deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
Puts ten books in kids' hands. We buy in bulk and at partner-discount pricing, so roughly $2 moves one book end-to-end.
Covers a hospital-delivery run: about 25 newborns leave with a first book in their going-home bag.
Stocks a Title I classroom library shelf with around 50 age-appropriate titles.
Underwrites an entire school's seasonal drive: roughly 250 books, enough for every grade to take some home.
Prefer to give books instead of funds? See the Host a Drive section below, or email us directly.
If you have a lobby, you can run one.
We'll send you a donation bin, countertop signage, a collection target, and a pickup schedule. Offices, faith communities, youth sports teams, coffee shops. Two weeks of quiet asks can yield hundreds of books.
Bins go out on a first-come basis and we have a limited supply on hand at any given time. If we're fully booked when you write in, we'll put you on the next rotation and send signage and a collection target so you can still start collecting.
Send us a note with your organization name, location, and a rough headcount. Use the form or email contact@expeditionreading.org directly, whichever is easier. We'll send the toolkit within a few days.
Show up for an hour. Or a Saturday. Or a semester.
Most of our volunteers help sort donations, assemble classroom kits, drive pickups, or staff seasonal events. No long-term commitment required; we run this as a team and we'll meet you where you are.
